Applications are open for the Romanian Government Scholarship 2023

The Romanian Government Scholarship 2023 is one of the best fully funded scholarships in Europe that gives students the experience of living the indigenous life of Romania alongside their studies. The Romanian Government Scholarship 2023 is intended for the brightest and best academic students who wish to continue their studies at culturally rich universities. In this fully funded program, scholarships include bachelor's, master's and doctoral scholarships. Every year, the Romanian government, through its Minister of Foreign Affairs, funds all these scholarships in almost all fields of study. This is the best chance for international students to complete a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree in Europe for free. In addition, Romania is well known for its high educational standards. Over the years, the country has been successful in promoting education and achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. It is because of Romania's acceptance of diversity and educational standards that students from 151 countries are currently studying in Romania.

Scholarship Benefits:

Scholarship recipients will not have to pay any registration or other application fees, which are required for the Romanian language proficiency test, any specific aptitude test, or admission fees for the doctoral studies competition.

Students will learn the Romanian language free of charge for one year, which means that the tuition for the Romanian language preparatory course will be covered.

The tuition fees for the course itself will be covered.

A monthly allowance of 65 euros for a bachelor's degree, 75 euros for a master's degree and 85 euros for a doctorate will be paid to students.

Accommodation in student dormitories will be covered.

Students will be provided with full medical assistance free of charge.

Discounts for local transportation will be provided. This may include local public vehicles, land, sea, rail or domestic.


Eligibility Criteria:

All non-EU students are eligible to apply.

Students must be academically outstanding.

Students who already have another Romanian scholarship cannot apply.

Undergraduate and graduate students must complete a one-year preparatory course in Romanian.

Doctoral students have the option of pursuing their studies in Romanian or English.

Doctoral students must pass an entrance exam.

Citizens who are under Romanian protection or who have applied for Romanian protection may not apply.

Administrative and technical staff of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs cannot apply.

Staff members of international organizations based in Romania or their family members cannot apply.

All stateless persons who are on Romanian territory and are recognized by law are ineligible.


Required documents:

-Copies of high school diplomas obtained or equivalent.

-Copies of bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree.

-Copies of transcripts in English, French, Spanish or Romanian only.

-Copies of birth certificate in English, French, Spanish or Romanian.

-Copy of passport (first three pages must be included).

-Copy of CNIC (National Computerized Identity Card)

-A CV in English or French.

PhD students must submit a letter of intent in English or French.

Applicants must submit their application online via the Study in Romania platform.

Access the platform, then select the Apply for MFA Scholarship button.

Applicants must submit the files in the specified format.

Documents must be scanned individually in PDF format.

Applicants must strictly follow the application submission methodology.


Application Deadline:

The last date to apply for the Romanian Government Scholarship 2023 is March 1, 2023.

The selection of the results will be announced on July 15, 2023
